In September 2017, The Box Hotels franchise launched their first location known as The Beach Box Hotel in Baga – a lively sea-side locale with Goa’s most recognized restaurants and nightlife. Despite its proximity to this bustling neighborhood, the hotel sits on the quiet end of a bridge that stretches between Baga’s crowded streets and surprisingly quaint corners.

The Box Hotels implement a ‘no-waste’, process of production in which most of the up-cycled features are designed and constructed in-house or on-site. While some hotel chains recognized for sustainability measures include reused materials in 30% of their construction, The Box Hotels employ as much as 72% – leaving a carbon footprint that is less than half the industry record.
ModernBlox is setting out to revolutionize construction using sustainable, green technology–energy saving techniques, the use of shipping containers instead of traditional wood construction, and other techniques to set ourselves apart from the rest of the pack.
